Indian Lake Indiana

Indian Lake is a Lake in Marion County in central Indiana in the United States . It is approximately 5 mi (8 km) northeast of Indianapolis . It was created in 1929 by damming Indian Creek, a tributary to Fall Creek .

Prior to the creation of Geist Reservoir in 1943 , Indian Lake was the largest body of water in central Indiana. Morse Reservoir was created in 1956 and Eagle Creek in 1967 .
