Information About

Holden Premier

It was cancelled in 1978 as Holden rationalized its full-size car range with the advent of its smaller Commodore model.

An export version of the Premier was the Mazda Roadpacer . Holden shipped bodyshells without engines to Japan, and Mazda fitted its rotary unit into the engine bay. However, this model came after the 1973 fuel crisis and was not a success.

Generally, Australian Premiers were fitted with 307 in³ (1968-1970), and later 4.2L and 5.0L V8 engines (1970-1980).
