Hippie metal, or Peace metal, refers to a Genre of Music lyrically expressing the ideals and experimentation from the Psychedelic Era that began in the United States during the early 1960s, while combining it with the sound of Nu Metal or modern rock. The obscure bands Skavenger, The Band V, and Blackbox are considered pioneers of this genre. |
