The ecoregion extends across the lower elevations of the great Himalaya range, from Pakistan's Punjab Province in the west through Pakistan administered Azad Kashmir , the Indian states of Jammu And Kashmir , Himachal Pradesh , and Uttarakhand , Nepal , the Indian state of Sikkim , to Bhutan in the east.
