Han In Sang (b. December 10 , 1939 ) was a General Authority of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints between 1991 and 1996 . Han was the first Korean Latter-day Saint to become a general authority of the LDS Church.

Han was born in Seoul . In 1957 , Han was Baptized a member of the LDS Church. He was ordained an Elder in the church by Gordon B. Hinckley , who was then an Assistant To The Quorum Of The Twelve Apostles . Han was the first native Korean to serve as a Mormon Missionary in Korea . Later, he was the first Regional Representative for the Twelve Apostles in Korea and the first native Korean Mission President to oversee a church Mission in Korea. Han also translated the '' Book Of Mormon '' into Korean .

In 1991, Han was asked by the First Presidency to become a member of the Second Quorum Of The Seventy and a full-time general authority of the church. Han served in this capacity for five years; in October 1996 the church honorably released him as a general authority. He then became President of the Seoul Korea Temple .

Han is married to Lee Kyn In; they are the parents of three daughters and two sons.
