Gymnastics At The 1976 Summer Olympics

The new rule was introduced both for men's and women's events: not more than three competitors per country were allowed to enter the all-around finals, if qualified . This was a controversial decision, which prevented many gymnasts of strong teams (like the USSR ) from competing in the event. The scoring and judging systems were basically the same as at the previous Olympics.
