LIST OF GOVERNORS


On 1 January 1986 Aruba was given its Status Aparte. Before this date the governor of the Netherlands Antilles was also governor for Aruba.

  • The first Governor of Aruba was Mr. F.B. Tromp. He was appointed by Royal Decree of September 27, 1985, No. 16, as of January 1, 1986.


  • The second Governor of Aruba was Mr. mr. O. Koolman. He was appointed by Royal Decree of January 28, 1992, No. 92.000904, as of January 29, 1992.


  • The third and present Governor of Aruba is Governor Fredis Refunjol . He was appointed by Royal Decree of May 4, 2004, No. 04.001780, as of May 1, 2004.
