''Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake'' is based on two books, Ghost Dogs of Whispering Oaks and Mystery by Moonlight. This is the seventh game in the series of Nancy Drew computer games. The heroine of the books, and the computer game, is called Nancy Drew. The game was released in 2002.

Sally McDonald has run away because every night, a pack of ghost dogs who has glowing eyes and mournful howls, which were believed to be owned by a gangster named Mickey Malone, were attacking her
house, as he was a previous owner of the house. There is a rumor in the area that Malone had gold buried on his property. In the game, Nancy attempts to find out who is using the ghost dogs to scare away the owner he or she can look for the gold.


CHARACTERS


Nancy Drew - Nancy is a detective who was asked by Sally to solve the case.

Sally McDonald - Sally was the one who asked Nancy to solve the case.

Red Knott - Red is a misanthropic birdwatcher who works mainly at night.

Emily Griffen - Emily is the friendly owner of a store at Moon Lake and seems to know everyone.

Jeff Akers - Ranger Akers is the only ranger at Moon Lake. He loves to ticket people and is related to William Akers, a man Malone always trusted in finding gold. His father is Joe Akers.

Vivian Whittmore - Malone's old girlfriend. You only talk to her over the phone.

Eustacia Andropov - A returning character from ''Final Scene''. She is Harry Houdini's cousin, and she only makes a small cameo over the phone when talking to Vivian.


SECOND CHANCES

As all Nancy Drew cases in "ghost dogs of moon lake" there are many fatal accidents including;

  • not fixing the boats engine right will drown

  • whilst you are trapped in burning shed

  • not using protective gear in the deer mouse nest in safe

  • drowning in well

  • being hit over the head with a bone by the "ghost dogs" master at the end of the game


But don't worry if you make a mistake just click second chance and it will take you back to the place before you made that mistake.

  • Red Knott's name is a play on the name of an actual bird, the Red Knot .
