Gambling in India is considered "morally wrong"" and thus not legal and as such there are no casinos in India save one in Goa named Caravela. There was and has often been debate in India on the legalisation of Matka and gambling, just as betting on horce races has been legalised. Other than lotteries, legalised gambling in India is only limited to betting on horse-racing on the pretext of horce racing being a "skill". Funnily however, cricket-betting is excluded from the umbrella of legalised gambling. |
