The Future Dome is the name of an unrealised 303 meters high multifunctional sports and office complex to be built in Shanghai . The Cone shaped building, which is a combination of a Stadium and a Skyscraper , would have a 350 meter Diameter and a 1,1 Kilometre long Circumference . The base of the cone would form a stadium with a capacity of approximately 80,000. On top of this a smaller arena would be placed for use of Tennis and Boxing matches. On top of this a Theatre would be placed followed by levels with conference rooms, a large pool, a hotel and office spaces. The mega structure is estimated to be complete before Expo 2010 , the World's Fair held in Shanghai. |
