Franklin "Pete" Adreon ( 18 November 1902 - 10 September 1979 ) was a movie director/producer for many movies and commercials in the 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's. As Marine reserve during the 30s, he was part of the United States Marine Corps in World War II . He worked with serial director William Witney at Republic Pictures , who was also in a Marines unit in the war. FIRST CAREERS Franklin Adreon, a ex-bond salesman that entered Motion Pictures in 1935 with no experience, landed some small paying jobs, including a technical advisor on the serial '' The Fighting Marines ''. This led to a writing position at Mascot Pictures and its seuccessor Republic Pictures . Adreon stayed with the serial unit and soon, through hard work and toil, was awarded the title of Associate Producer , a great job for a man with little experience. Adreon stayed with the studio for nearly its all of its short life. LATER JOBS The previous Marine worked as a Director on many Movies . He later went into Television , both producing and writing.
