This is a list of events and medallists at the 2006 Winter Paralympics . The Games featured 58 medal events in 5 disciplines grouped over 4 Sport s. Wheelchair Curling made Paralympic debut in Turin . Several disability classes that raced separately in the 2002 Winter Paralympics raced together at the 2006 Paralympics. Competitors are given a ''factored time'' based on their ''real time'' and the level of disability of the competitor. This resulted in a decrease in the number of medals on offer.
