HISTORY AND GOVERNANCE

Edmonds Community College, established in 1967 , and governed by the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges, is accredited by the Northwest Commission On Colleges And Universities .


CAMPUS SETTING

50-acre campus in Lynnwood , 15 miles north of Seattle

The college has a campus tree walk with 70 trees developed with a Community Forestry Assistance Grant provided by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources with support from the USDA Forest Service .



UNIVERSITY PARTNERS

After two-years of study at Edmonds Community College students may complete a bachelor's degree online at Washington State University online and evenings at the University Of Washington or on campus at Central Washington University .


ACADEMICS AND RESEARCH

The college received grants from the National Science Foundation to create a National Resource Center for Materials Technology Education and to study ways to increase the recruitment of women and girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors and fields.

The college has unique Materials Science technology degree and Horticultural Therapy degree programs.


CAMPUS LIFE

The college is a member of the Northwest Athletic Association Of Community Colleges with volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's basketball and baseball teams.
