Domodedovo () is a ); 55,294 ( 1989 Census ). Domodedovo was founded in 1900 as a settlement next to a Railroad Station under the same name. The town was called after a nearby village of Domodedovo, which is known to have existed since 1410. The town was granted town status in 1947.
