Movements such as Fauvism , Cubism , Expressionism , Futurism , Pittura Metafisica and the Blaue Reiter group were represented. The exhibition was a direct and obvious comment on the infamous NaziPropaganda exhibition "Degenerate Art" (" Entartete Kunst ") held in 1937 .
