Document Manangement Industries Association (DMIA)

Based in Alexandria Virginia , DMIA is a 501c3 not-for-profit trade association that was founded in 1946. Originally founded as National Business Forms Associates, The association was comprised of independent print distributor sales organizations. These sales organizations expertise was in the area of designing business forms, systems and workflow. In 1963, National Business Forms Associates became National Business Forms Association (NBFA).

In 1996, NBFA changed its name to Document Management Industries Association. The association publishes a monthly Print Solutions Magazine, sponsors a national industry trade show, Print Solutions Expo, and also hosts educational conferences relating to selling printing via print distributors (Sometimes called print brokers)

In 2000, DMIA launched PrintUniversity.org, a web site that houses module-based printing industry education.
