Diamond Bar High School students participate in programs such as Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB). Its first students came from Walnut High School, Chaparral and Suzanne Middle School. The first principal of the school was Walt Holmes and the first activities director was Dale Favier. The first USB president was Randy Thomas who currently teaches at the school. STUDENT BODY GOVERNMENT (UNITED STUDENT BODY - USB) Diamond Bar High School's student body government is called the United Student Body (USB). This differs from other schools with Associated Student Body (ASB) programs. At DBHS, there are six executive board members who are elected in December: President, Vice-President, Speaker of the House, Inter-Organizational Chairperson, Secretary, and Financial Director. They, along with their appointed commissioners, begin their terms in January and serve for a regular year (instead of a school year). The official transition from the old officers to the new officers takes place at the Extollation/Installation Banquet. USB officers organize and regulate DBHS's student activities. More information is available in the student constitution DBHS Constitution and the DBHS By-Laws . Under Dale Favier, this organization became a cherished and well-respected institution respected by the faculty, staff, and students. Respectability was built by Fave's strict sense of perfectionism, and the officers endeavored to offer quality and timely events from the first day of school with trips to an amusement park (Disneyland, Magic Mountain, or Knott's Berry Farm) to imaginative Homecomings, memorable dances, and booming pep rallies. Janet Roberts succeeded him and her vivacious energy revitalized the program to an exciting new level. After Janet Roberts left, Nelson took over. After Nelsin took over, Petria Reis came in as the new activities director. The latest activities can be found in the school's Bullsheet. WEBSITES Diamond Bar High School's main website is DBHSusb.org . Diamond Bar High has one sub-site: walnutvalley.k12.ca.us/dbhs/ . Both websites are owned by the school but are maintained by different student groups. The DBHSusb.org website is maintained by the student body while the walnutvalley.k12.ca.us/dbhs/ website is maintained by the web design class. Both sites were created with different target audiences and purposes in mind. DBHSusb.org was created as a student/parent informational site by providing school news and a school calendar. The site was also designed to help students share a part of their DBHS life by submitting appropriate pictures. http://www.walnutvalley.k12.ca.us/dbhs/ is currently maintained by the Brahma Tech Web Design class and contains some faculty pages. DBHSUSB.ORG BACKGROUND INFORMATION DBHSusb.org was started in early (CMS) changes. The site is currently powered by the Joomla! CMS system and several other custom modifications. In October 2006 , USB made an effort to conserve more paper and decided to make more general school forms available online at the download section. TEACHERS' WEBSITES Several faculty members maintain their own personal home pages. These teacher websites are not hosted on the school server. Teachers that do create and maintain their own websites often put homework assignments online along with general class rules, informational handouts, and links to helpful websites. BRAHMA TECH PROGRAM The Brahma Tech Program was founded in 2006 . This program is based solely on technology. It takes a certain amount of pre-approved technology class credits to be able to graduate with a Brahma Tech seal on the diploma. It has been noted that the Brahma Tech Web Design Program has been copying ideas from the dbhsusb.org website continually. The dbhsusb.org website put an online calendar and the Brahma Tech Web Design class copied a few months later. The same goes for all other features of the dbhsusb.org website. CALCULUS PROGRAM For the 4th year in the past three years, Diamond Bar High School ranked first in the nation for AP Calculus among high schools with 3000 students or more. NOTABLE ALUMNI
