Deutsch Nepal belongs to the generation of " Sound Constructivist s" of the early 1990s and ranks with In Slaughter Natives and Raison D'être among its most distinguished perpetrators.

The name "Deutsch Nepal" is derived from the track of the same name released in 1972 by German Krautrock legend Amon Düül .
