Dental Tourism is a type of Medical Tourism , where patients travel to low cost countries as for example Mexico , Hungary , Bulgaria , India , Germany (from Switzerland ), the Philippines , or Post-Soviet Countries to reduce the expenses for Dentistry on their teeth. Apart general price differences, it is supported by the fact that dental treatments may be covered by Health Insurance (dental insurance) in less degree than other medical treatments, or even may not be covered at all unless the patient has an additional, non obligatory insurance contract (as in Switzerland).
