Delaware County Christian School is a private, principally Protestant K-12 school in Newtown Square , Pennsylvania in the United States . It was established in 1950, and has since grown to its current size of almost 950 students. Delaware County Christian School students participate in a wide variety of athletic events, such as Lacrosse, Soccer, and Basketball, as well as academic competitions such as Hi-Q and Science Olympiad .

Often referred to as "DC", the school also goes by "Delco Christian", "DCCS", or the misnomer "Delaware County Christian Academy" (DCA). Currently, Delco Christian is a member of the Southern Chester County League (SCCL). As of 2008, however, Delco Christian will become an athletically independent school. Almost the entire SCCL is being absorbed into the Ches-Mont League except for Garnet Valley High School , Devon Preparatory School, and Delco Christian (the latter two being the league’s smallest members). The school's mascot is ''The Knight'' and its colors are Green and White .

The German department currently runs an Exchange Program with the August-Hermann-Francke-Schule in Giessen , Germany (a city north of Frankfurt ).
