Dayton O'Brien (born October 29 , 1983 in Memphis , Tennessee ) is an American soccer player, who currently plays Midfielder for the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL First Division .

O'Brien played college soccer at University Of Memphis from 2002 to 2005. Through his four years there he accumulated 24 goals and 34 assists, the latter is a Memphis record. He was named Second Team All-American in 2004. He also played in the USL Premier Development League for both Memphis Express and Cape Cod Crusaders , scoring 21 goals in 58 league appearances.

He was drafted in the third round, 33rd overall, by the Columbus Crew in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft . He was waived by the team on July 11 2006 , and signed for the Atlanta Silverbacks prior to the 2007 season.
