Danville Regional Medical Center is a 350 bed hospital located in Danville, Virginia . It was purchased by Lifepoint Hospitals in July 2005. Since that time, the hospital has received a preliminary denial of accreditation. This has led government officials to create a commission of citizens to recommend changes to the hospital. The commission's findings were released July 2 , 2007 , and hospital officials have pledged to fix the problems cited. REFERENCES
