Corporate Express is an Airline based in Calgary , Alberta , Canada . It operates air taxi and executive charter services, as well as scheduled services. Its main base is Calgary International Airport 1. HISTORY The airline was established in 1975 and is wholly owned by Corpac Canada. The key shareholders are: Gordon A. Peariso, David Werklund and Werklund Enterprises. The airline merged with Avia Aviation, and acquired a fleet of Piaggio P180 Avanti aircraft in December 2005 . In October 2006 , an additional Saab 340 aircraft, that had been acquired earlier that year, enabled a number of new scheduled service routes to be added. These included Dawson Creek, British Columbia , Edmonton and Grande Prairie, Alberta . Corporate Express went through a series of senior management changes between September 2006 and December 2006. The route to Grande Prairie has been discontinued as of January 2007 , less than 3 months after its launch. In January, the Piaggio P180 aircraft fleet were sold to AirSprint , a specialised fractional ownership aircraft company. DESTINATIONS Corporate Express operates a shuttle service between Calgary and Edmonton, and services from both Calgary and Edmonton to southern and northern Alberta on behalf of oil companies. Scheduled air service between Calgary and Fort McMurray, Alberta , as well as Calgary and Dawson Creek. The company also operates air charter services (primarily for the oil and gas sector) using a BAe Jetstream 31 aircraft.
