The Connecticut Capitol Police is a law enforcement unit responsible for for the seventeen acre Connecticut State Capitol Complex in Hartford . From 1974 until 1997 the unit was part of the Connecticut State Police MANPOWER Eight officers are assigned to the Day shift, and five officers each assigned to the Evening and Midnight Shifts SWORN PERSONNEL
