It is supposed to provide an appropriate learning environment for instructors to give lessons to students. EQUIPMENT AND STATIONERY Most classrooms have some form of large writing surface on which the teacher or instructor can make notes for the class. Traditionally, this was in the form of a Blackboard but these are becoming less common in well-equipped schools, and are replaced by flipcharts, Whiteboard s and Interactive Whiteboard s. Many classrooms also have TV s, Map s, Chart s, Book s, Monograph s and LCD Projectors for presenting information and images. A classroom also has a store of writing equipment which include Pen s, Pencil s and stationery eg. Sissors , Sticks Of Glue , Ruler s and Eraser s. There is normally a school equipment fund which means if any of the equipment either stops working or breaks due to misuse then it can be replaced. TYPES OF CLASSROOMS For lessons that require specific resources or a Vocational approach different types of classrooms both indoors and outdoors are used. This is known as Situated Learning . Classrooms can range from small groups of 5 or 6 to big classrooms of up to 200 children, these are lecture classrooms. A few examples of classrooms are:-
