Canada-Israel Committee (CIC) is a pro-Israel lobby group that says it is "the official representative of the organized Canadian Jewish community on matters pertaining to Canada-Israel relations." The CIC is one of a number of non-partisan lobby groups affiliated with the United Israel Appeal Federation and United Jewish Appeal Federation structure, including the Canadian Jewish Congress . The CIC operates in English Canada , while it is affiliated with the ''Quebec-Israel Committee'' in that Province . FUNDING The CIC is sponsored by UIA Federations Canada (UIAFC) through the Canadian Council for Israel and Jewish Advocacy (CIJA), commonly known collectively as "The Federation". Due to its affiliation with UIAFC and CIJA, both of which are Charitable Organizations , the CIC is officially non-partisan to abide by Canadian lobbying laws. PROGRAMMING The CIC has a number of areas in which it focuses its lobbying efforts. These include Canada's vote at the United Nations on matters pertaining to the Middle-East as well as keeping a record of statements made in Parliament which are of interest to the Jewish and pro-Israel communities.
