DSL


Moldtelecom , the national communication company, is the main DSL provider. It is the only service offered outside of Chişinău on a wide scale. Fees are different depending where the subscriber is located - a person living in a city will pay less than one located in a town or rural area.

Prices are as following :

  • With a traffic cap (not available in rural areas):

  • 2048 kbit/s downstream /1024 kbit/s upstream : 240 Moldovan Lei (14.35 €) (7.5 GB cap/month, everything in excess for 0.01 €/10 MB)

  • 3072 kbit/s downstream /1024 kbit/s upstream : 360 Moldovan Lei (21.54 €) (15 GB cap/month, everything in excess for 0.01 €/10 MB)

  • Without a traffic cap :

  • 128 kbit/s downstream / 512 kbit/s upstream : 240 MDL (14.35 €) (4096/1024 for resources from within the Moldtelecom network)

  • 256 kbit/s downstream / 512 kbit/s upstream : 360 MDL (21.54 €) (4096/1024 for resources from within the Moldtelecom network)

  • 384 kbit/s downstream / 512 kbit/s upstream : 480 MDL (28.70 €) (8192/1024 for resources from within the Moldtelecom network)


Starnet also offers ADSL service in Chişinău

  • 256 kbit/s downstream (1 Mbit/s between 08:00 AM and 08:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays for the first 4 GB, 64 kbit/s afterwards) : 17 €

  • 256 kbit/s downstream (2 Mbit/s between 08:00 AM and 08:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays for the first 5 GB, 128 kbit/s afterwards) : 21 €

  • 512 kbit/s downstream (3 Mbit/s between 08:00 AM and 08:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays for the first 6 GB, 128 kbit/s afterwards) : 28 €

  • 512 kbit/s downstream (4 Mbit/s between 08:00 AM and 08:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays for the first 7 GB, 256 kbit/s afterwards) : 33 €



CABLE


The only provider is SunCommunications, offering 4 service packags with speeds ranging between 64 kbit/s and 384 kbit/s downstream. Service is available in Chişinău and parts of Bălţi . Their fees are:

  • 64 kbit/s downstream : US$ 9 (6.5 EUR) (128 kbit/s for traffic within Moldova, 3000 MiB traffic cap for traffic done between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.)

  • 128 kbit/s downstream : US$ 19 (13.76 EUR) (1024 kbit/s for traffic within Moldova)

  • 256 kbit/s downstream : US$ 29 (21.00 EUR) (1024 kbit/s for traffic within Moldova)

  • 512 kbit/s downstream : US$ 49 (35.50 EUR) (1024 kbit/s for traffic within Moldova, this subscription includes cable TV fee)



FTTB


Starnet offers FTTB in 5 boroughs of Chişinău. Prices are similar to the prices for their ADSL service.
