Blaine Taylor is the current head coach of the Old Dominion University Monarchs basketball team. He has led his team to many accomplishments both major and minor, including a recent CAA Tournament championship in 2005 and subsequent birth in the NCAA Tournament , where the twelfth-seeded Monarchs lost to fifth-seeded Michigan State in the first round. Taylor also led the Monarchs to the 2006 NIT semifinals, where the team lost to the Michigan Wolverines . He used to be the head coach of the University Of Montana and an assistant coach under Mike Montgomery at Stanford University before taking over as head coach of the Monarchs.
