''Black-Ash Inheritance'' is a 1997 Melodic Death Metal MCD by In Flames . It was released as a preview of the upcoming album '' Whoracle ''. The tracks were included in the Japanese release of '' Whoracle '' as well as the later reissue of '' The Jester Race ''. The track "Gyroscope" was later released on the following album, ''Whoracle'', and the track "Behind Space" was originally on the band's debut album '' Lunar Strain '', featuring the vocals of Mikael Stanne .
