The southern end of Beverly Drive is at the intersection of Beverly Drive and Harlow Avenue, a small street south of National Blvd. and north of the Santa Monica Freeway. Beverly Drive winds through Beverlywood, passes through Los Angeles as it crosses Pico Boulevard, and then becomes a thoroughfare for Beverly Hills past Olympic Boulevard. The portion of Beverly Drive from Olympic Boulevard to Wilshire Boulevard is a popular spot for dining and shopping, constituting many well-known restaurants and chain stores. North of Sunset Boulevard , Beverly Drive appears to turn into Coldwater Canyon Drive , which leads to the San Fernando Valley . However, Beverly Drive actually continues, forking to the west past the intersection of Beverly Drive and Shadow Hill Way, continuing as a separate street. The 1978 edition of the Thomas Bros Los Angeles County Popular Street Atlas shows Beverly Drive continuing all the way up to Mulholland Drive. Current aerial photos on mapquest.com show Beverly Drive terminating north of Desford Drive and then resuming for a short portion south of Mulholland. |
