''Beauty on a Back Street'' is a 1977 album by Songwriter Hall Of Famers Hall & Oates . Interestingly, this album features a song with the same name as their previous RCA album, '' Bigger Than Both Of Us ''. This is a technique that has been used by a number of artists including Led Zeppelin whose song "Houses Of The Holy" does not appear on their 1973 album of the same name but instead on 1975's double-LP '' Physical Graffiti ''. Having a bit of fun with this effect, Lisa Loeb did things in reverse by releasing the song "The Way It Really Is" as the lead-off track on her 2002 album '' Cake And Pie ''. She then titled her 2004 album '' The Way It Really Is '' despite the fact that the song does not appear on the collection.
