Bad-tibira was an ancient Sumer ian City , located near Umma . Its probable location is modern ''Tell al-Madain''.

The name means ''metal worker'' in Sumerian.
It was also called ''Pantibiblos'' by Greek authors ( Abydenus , Apollodorus , Berossus ). It corresponds to Biblical Tubal .

According to the Sumerian King List , Bad-tibira "exercised kingship" Before The Deluge , as the second city, following Eridug .

The main god of the city was Lulal , the city's temple was E -mush-kalamma, mentioned in the tale of '' Inanna 's Descent To The Underworld ''.

The founder of the city was the king-god Enmenluanna .
It was ruled by 3 kings : Enmenluanna , Enmengalanna and Dumuzid .
