"Baby, I Love You" was written by Jeff Barry , Ellie Greenwich , and Phil Spector . With Phil Spector producing, it was recorded by The Ronettes , who took the song into the American Top Forty in 1964. In 1969, Andy Kim recorded the song for Jeff Barry's label, Steed Records . Andy's version became a U.S. Top Ten hit and earned a Gold Record . In 1980, Phil Spector produced The Ramones ' version of the song which appeared on their album '' End Of The Century ''. This single reached #8 in the UK charts. Other artists who have recorded "Baby, I Love You" include Linda Ronstadt , Dave Edmunds and Bad Boys Blue . "Baby, I Love You" recorded by Aretha Franklin is a different song altogether, as is " Baby I Love U! " on Jennifer Lopez 's album '' This Is Me... Then ''. |
