Auburn is a Village in the southwestern part of the Canadian Province of Ontario .


HISTORY


Auburn was first settled in 1848 by Eneas Elkin, an Irish immigrant. In 1858, the area was surveyed as the village of Manchester. In 1907, Canadian Pacific built a rail line near the village and named their stop Auburn. The village gradually assumed the name as well.
