It was named after a nearby building with the similar name, although it has now been renamed Plaza Armada.
Buses serving the station bus stop serve the locality, namely Sections 12, 13, 14, 16, 17 and 19. A nearby walk, the bus stops at the Federal Highway ramp allow users to board buses that shuttle between Kuala Lumpur and Klang, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya and the rest of Petaling Jaya.
Aeroline, an executive bus service to Singapore operates from the front entrance of Menara Axis, although it is due to shift operations to the Bandar Utama bus hub, located outside 1 Utama in December 2006.
