Information About

Arizona Dental Association

The Arizona Dental Association (AzDA) is a state level of the American Dental Association which specifically serves dentists living in the State of Arizona. As a constituent society of the American Dental Association, AzDA encourages improvements in public oral health and promotes the art and science of dentistry through leadership, education and information.

AzDA was established in 1909 as a nonprofit professional organization that currently represents over 2500 dentists statewide, which is about 80% of all licensed dentists in Arizona. Component organizations are the Central Arizona Dental Society (CADS), Northern Arizona Dental Society (NADS) and Southern Arizona Dental Society (SADS).

The Arizona Dental Foundation (ADF) is the charitable outreach program of AzDA. ADF provides dental education, along with managing annual charitable events like "Give Kids a Smile", "Donated Dental Services", "Hope Fest”, "Hispanic Health Fair", "Special Olympics – Special Smiles" within the state Arizona.

The Western Regional Dental Convention is an annual dental education meeting managed by AzDA where over 5000 dental professionals gather in Phoenix to learn the latest from a variety of speakers on a variety of topics. This meeting also allows companies to display their products and services to dentists as well as office staff of the dental office through the option of exhibit booths.

AzDA publishes a monthly dental journal, Inscriptions, which contains letters to the editor, messages from leadership, as well as upcoming education classes that might be on interest.
