Appalachian Ohio




Appalachian Ohio is defined by the US State Of Ohio to consist of the 29 south-easternmost counties. It is administered by the Governor's Office of Appalachia as part of the Appalachian Regional Commission , with three regional offices covering southern portions of the state. Just like any other region, there is no universally agreed-upon boundary for this geographical area of Ohio, as the entire area is defined differently by the opinions of multiple people.

Port Columbus International , in Columbus , is the largest airport and serves most of the residents in southeast Ohio. Port Columbus is the national hub for Skybus Airlines and offers primarily domestic flights. Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to the east serves most of the residents of Cincinnati and it's Metropolitan Area . Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to the north is also major Hub Airport .
