As its PC equivalent, the RDB contains metadata for each partition, their start, length, filesystem, their boot priority, their buffer memory type and their "flavor" though the latter was never used. Unlike the PC/MS-DOS style partition table, there are no primary or extended types and all partitions are equal in stature and architecture. |
