HISTORY

The chain is in its seventh year of operation. Originally founded as Best Value Inn , the company changed its name in 2005 to Americas Best Value Inn. Transition to the new name will take place through 2007.

The chain was founded by Roger Bloss, CEO and president; Bernard Moyle, chief operating officer and chief financial officer; Gene Kordoban, director of membership development; Louis Fisher, group president; Barry Greer, general contractor; and Peter Frantz, marketing director.

VANTAGE HOSPITALITY GROUP

Vantage Hospitality Group , formerly Cal-Vegas Properties , was founded in 1996. Since then, the company has grown to include a broad spectrum of hospitality-related ventures. Vantage manages resources in hotel ownership, management, marketing, national brand affiliation and real estate. In February 2005, Vantage added the global central reservation system GenaRes to its portfolio. In 2006, the group opened its first Chinas Best Value Inn in Shanghai, with many more expected throughout the region before the 2008 Olympics.
