Adventure Island 4 (''Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima IV'' in Japan) is a video game designed for the Famicom console in 1994 by Hudson Soft . It was officially only released in Japan, although a fan translation patch exists that will allow the game to be played in English. Unlike most of the entries in the '' Adventure Island '' series, ''Adventure Island IV'' plays less like a straight Platformer and more of an action/adventure platformer, similar to the later '' Wonder Boy '' games.
