Worksop railway station serves the town of Worksop in Nottinghamshire , England . Opened in July 1849 by the by the Sheffield And Lincolnshire Junction Railway , part of the Manchester, Sheffield And Lincolnshire Railway , it is today the northern terminus of Central Trains ' Robin Hood Line from Nottingham and Mansfield (the section from the latter town was re-opened to passengers on 25 May 1998 ) and an intermediate stop on the regional service from Lincoln Central to Sheffield operated by Northern Rail .
