Whitey Mcdonald




Raised in Hamilton, Ontario , McDonald played 1928 to 1939 at left full-back for Rangers. Prior to that he played wing-back for American Soccer League outfit Bethlehem Steel F.C. after having a brief stint with Toronto Ulster United .

McDonald was enshrined in the Canadian Soccer Hall Of Fame as an inaugural inductee in 2000.

The nickname "Whitey" was in reference to the colour of his hair which was a light reddish-blonde.
