Wetherill Park is a Suburb of south western Sydney , in the state of New South Wales , Australia .

Bordering the south side of Prospect Reservior, Wetherill Park is located approximately 10km north of Liverpool in Sydney and 35km west of the Sydney CBD. It is home to the largest industrial estate in the Southern Hemisphere, with companies such as Jaguar, BMW and Mercedes situated in the area. Despite the heavy industrial presence, the suburb maintains a coppice environment dominated by eucaluptus trees. The surrounding residential area is also located close to the Westlink M7 Sydney Orbital motorway ( {Link without Title} ).

Neighbouring suburbs include Bossley Park , Horsley Park , Prospect , Smithfield and Prairiewood . Wetherill Park falls within the boundaries of Fairfield City Council and Holroyd City Council .

Wetherill Park is home to a large Buddhist temple which was visited by Prince Charles in the mid 1990s . Wetherill Park is also home to 1 of 2 Stocklands Shopping Centres in Sydney (housing one of Australia's largest cinema complexes owned by Hoyts), and also a TAFE college.

The T-Way bus route opened in 2003 and runs partly through Wetherill Park.

Wetherill Park was once home to famous Italian footballer, Christian Vieri .
