The original stations on the line were
The line at Battersea Wharf was connected to the Victoria Station & Pimlico Railway Company , enabling access to the Victoria terminus. The West End of London and Crystal Palace Railway line was later connected eastwards to the Mid Kent Railway's line to St Mary Cray which joined the East Kent Railway's (latter renamed London, Chatham And Dover Railway ) "Chatham" Main Line . Following the construction of the LCDR's own Metropolitan Extensions in 1863 , traffic over the line west of Crystal Palace was confined to the trains of the London Brighton And South Coast Railway .
