The United States Basketball League is a professional men's spring Basketball league. The league was formed in 1985 and has been in continuous operation every year except 1989 . One source thought the league might fold after the 2007 season.http://www.saljournal.com/Sports/Story/cagerz061207

The 2007 USBL Champions were crowned after the title game on July 1, 2007. The winner: The Kansas Cagerz.

Originally the USBL began the 2007 season with ten teams in two five-team divisions, but the failure of the New Jersey Meteors , Delaware Stars and Jackson Wildcats (and the initial failure and later reinstatement of the Long Island PrimeTime ), the league was realigned in mid-season into a single division.
