One of the goals of the UMB is to favor the development of all the games in the sports of billiards at world level and to represent the interests of billiards in general. The UMB guarantees a permanent and stable liaison with its affiliated and recognized associations and constitutes the highest power in world Carom billiards. UMB is a co-founding member and the sole representative of carom billiard in the World Confederation Of Billiard Sports (WCBS), the international umbrella organization encompassing the major cue sports (billiards-type games), including carom billiards, pool games of several varieties, and snooker. Three conferderations are recognised by UMB, namely, Confédération Européenne de Billard, Confederacion Panamericana de Billar, and Asian Carom Billiard Confederation. The ferderations affiliated to these confererations, along with ferderation of Algeria , Egypt and U.S. , are recognised fererdations of UMB.
