Trans States Airlines is an American Regional Airline based in St. Louis , Missouri . It operates as American Connection for American Airlines , United Express for United Airlines and US Airways Express for US Airways .


HISTORY


The company was founded in 1985 to feed Trans World Airlines flights at Lambert-Saint Louis International Airport . Trans States Airlines operated Delta Connection flights from March 1998 to March 31, 2000, mainly from the Boston and New York focus cities. It began operations as Resort Air in 1983 and changed its name to Trans states Airlines in 1989.

The call sign "Waterski" and the ICAO "LOF," which is reported to stand for 'Lodge '''o'''f the '''F'''our Seasons', are from the early days when the company was operated as Resort Air and took visitors to the Ozark Lakes in Missouri.
