Timothy ("Tim") Austin (born April 14 , 1971 in Cincinnati, Ohio ) is a professional Boxer from the United States , who won a Flyweight Bronze Medal at the 1992 Olympic Games, and turned pro in the following year. Austin had an outstanding amateur career, compiling a record of 113-9. Known as "Cincinnati Kid", Austin was an exciting Bantamweight fighter, and successfully defended his IBF Bantamweight title ten times after defeating Mbulelo Botile in 1997 . Austin lost his title to dominant Rafael Marquez in an 8th round TKO upset in 2003. Shortly after the loss to Marquez, Austin was accused, and later acquitted, of raping a 16 year old girl. With his legal troubles behind him, Austin resumed his career in 2005 but his comeback was quickly derailed when he lost via TKO to journeyman Eric Aiken , who went on to win the IBF Bantamweight Title.
