Thorpe Park is re-created village name. Thorpe Park was an RAF Barracks on the outskirts of Woodhall Spa built during World War II , which closed in the 1960s . It has recently been recreated as a place name, and there is a small Visitors' Centre displaying the RAF history. Thorpe Park does not appear on any current maps at the time of writing ( March 2005 ), but is to be found just outside Woodhall Spa on the road to Coningsby . EXTERNAL LINKS |
