''The New York Review of Science Fiction'' ('''NYRSF''') (ISSN 1052-9438) is a monthly Science Fiction critical journal, founded in 1988. It generally includes works of Science Fiction Criticism , essays, and in-depth critical reviews of new works of fiction and scholarship. The journal is published out of New York by Dragon Press. Current publishing staff include Kevin J. Maroney (managing editor); David G. Hartwell (Reviews and Features editor); and Kathryn Cramer (art and website editor). ''The New York Review of Science Fiction'' was founded in 1988 by David G. Hartwell , Patrick Nielsen Hayden , Teresa Nielsen Hayden , Susan Palwick , and Kathryn Cramer . Gordon Van Gelder , Robert K. J. Killheffer, Tad Dembinski, and Ariel Haméon have also been editorial staff over the years. The journal is indexed in the MLA International Bibliography (the preeminent literary index), ''Bibliographic Index'', and other subject-specific literature and cultural studies indexes.''Ulrich's Periodicals Directory''; see also review in ''Magazines for Libraries'' Oct. 4, 2006. An index of the first ten years is available on the web; a complete and up-to-date index is offered by email. Annual subscriptions are available, as are back issues. Although international in coverage, the journal also sponsors SF events in the New York City area, principally including a series of readings from prominent writers.
